What our commercial asphalt paving includes

Professional commercial asphalt paving for commercial properties and storage facilities across the Utah area.

New Construction Paving

Full asphalt installation for new commercial properties, storage facilities, and developments. We handle base prep through final surface, built to handle heavy traffic loads.

Overlay & Resurfacing

When the base is still solid but the surface is worn, an asphalt overlay saves you the cost of full replacement. We mill the existing surface and lay a fresh course for a like-new finish.

Parking Lot Paving

Complete parking lot construction for retail centers, office parks, churches, and commercial complexes. Proper grading, drainage, and thickness specs for your traffic volume.

Storage Facility Paving

Driveways, access lanes, and loading areas for self-storage properties. We understand the tight turning radii and heavy loads that moving trucks put on pavement.

Commercial Driveways

Heavy-duty driveway paving for commercial entrances, warehouse access, and industrial properties. Built thicker than residential driveways to handle truck traffic.

Base Repair & Preparation

A paving job is only as good as what is underneath it. We excavate failed areas, recompact subgrade, and install proper aggregate base before any asphalt is laid.

Our commercial asphalt paving process

A simple, transparent process from your first call to a finished job.

1

Site Evaluation

We assess the existing conditions, soil type, drainage, and traffic patterns to design the right pavement section for your property.

2

Base Preparation

Excavation, grading, compaction, and aggregate base installation. This is the foundation that determines how long your pavement lasts.

3

Asphalt Installation

Hot mix asphalt is placed and compacted to spec. We control material temperature, lift thickness, and roller patterns for a dense, smooth surface.

4

Finishing & Striping

After curing, we handle line striping, ADA markings, signage, and any final grading adjustments to complete the project.

Common commercial asphalt paving questions

Most commercial parking lots need 2.5 to 3 inches of asphalt over 6 to 8 inches of compacted aggregate base. Heavy-traffic areas like truck routes or loading docks may need 4+ inches. We design the pavement section based on your expected traffic.

A typical commercial parking lot takes 3 to 7 days depending on size and how much base work is needed. Paving itself is fast; excavation, grading, and base preparation take the most time. We provide a detailed timeline before starting.

The paving season in Utah runs from late April through October. Asphalt needs to be placed when ambient temperatures are above 50°F and the ground is not frozen. Spring and fall are ideal because moderate temperatures help with compaction.

New asphalt is typically ready for vehicle traffic within 24 to 48 hours after placement. It continues to cure and harden for several months, so we recommend avoiding sharp turns and heavy point loads during the first few weeks.

An overlay places new asphalt on top of the existing surface, typically 1.5 to 2 inches thick. It works when the base is still structurally sound. Full replacement involves removing everything down to subgrade and rebuilding. We will tell you honestly which one your lot needs.

Yes. We handle the entire job from excavation and subgrade preparation through final paving and striping. Having one team manage every phase means better quality control and no finger-pointing between separate crews.
